SENIORS, THE  HOUSING CRISIS

In 2016, I collaborated with the North Bay Organizing Project (http://northbayop.org/) on a photo series that highlighted the lives of senior citizens affected by the Sonoma County Housing Crisis. As a result of the lack of affordable housing in Sonoma County and unregulated rent prices, these seniors were spending 75% of their money on housing.

A photo exhibit was held at the Arlene Francis Center in Santa Rosa, and donations were made to the NBOP (http://northbayop.org/)

Orphans of the Temple

ORPHANS  OF THE TEMPLE

Twenty years ago, a baby was abandoned at the Thinh Dai Temple in Northern Vietnam. A monk living at the temple took it upon himself to raise the baby as his own. Today, his family of orphans has grown to over 30 kids. While living in Hanoi in 2015, I visited the temple and documented the lives of these charismatic individuals. A photo exhibit was held in Hanoi, Viet Nam, and all proceeds went to the kids.
